Noco's Trading Trial

Noco has travelled far and wide in search of rare furniture, arriving each month with a new trade for those willing to part with their collections.

Over the past year, his requests have taken many forms. Sometimes he's searched for two different rares, other times three or more, encouraging players to hunt down long-forgotten furniture and strike deals with fellow traders.

While that has created some interesting trading opportunities, we've also heard consistent feedback that completing Noco's trades can be difficult, particularly for more casual traders.

The challenge is even greater in our smaller hotels. Some older rares are simply much harder to find, and in a few cases have become so scarce that completing Noco's trades can be nearly impossible, even if you have plenty of trading value elsewhere.

A Two-Visit Trial

For Noco's next two visits, we're going to try something a little different.

During this trial, Noco's trades will combine rare furniture with Habloons, replacing part of the value that would previously have been made up entirely of additional rares.

For example, instead of requesting:

• 20 Dino Eggs

• 15 Ice Cream Machines

...he might instead ask for:

• 20 Dino Eggs

• 500 Habloons

The exact items and quantities will continue to vary from visit to visit, but the goal is to reduce the number of different rares required while preserving the overall spirit of Noco's trades.

Why We're Trying This

We believe this approach could bring a number of benefits:

• Fewer different rares are needed to complete each trade.

• Habloons gain another meaningful use within the Hotel economy.

• Players can substitute part of a trade with a currency that's available across every hotel.

• It should make Noco's trades more achievable in the Brazilian and Spanish hotels, where some legacy rares have become exceptionally difficult to source.

Most importantly, we're hoping this keeps the focus on trading itself, rather than on whether a particular rare still exists in sufficient numbers to make a trade realistically achievable.

What Happens Next?

This is a trial, not a permanent change.

We'll be closely monitoring both of Noco's upcoming visits, looking at completion rates, trading activity, and the feedback you share with us across all three hotels.

Once the trial has concluded, we'll publish an update on what we've learned and explain what comes next. That may mean continuing with this approach, refining it further, or returning Noco to his previous trading format.
