Fishing Derbies have received their biggest overhaul yet.

Our goal was simple: make Derbies fairer, easier to understand, and more exciting for everyone, whether you're entering your first competition or your hundredth.

From today, every Derby places all players on a level playing field.

Everyone Starts Equal

When you join a Derby, your normal fishing progression is temporarily set aside.

Instead, everyone competes using the same Derby-exclusive fish, the same catch chances, and the same weight ranges, regardless of your fishing level or which public fishing room you choose.

That means:

• ⚖️ No fishing level advantage.

• 🎣 The same Derby fish for everyone.

• 🏖️ All public fishing rooms use identical Derby odds.

• 🤝 Every player has an equal chance to win.

The winner is no longer determined by hidden mechanics or room selection, but by the fish you manage to catch during the competition.

Two Derby Modes

We've also introduced two different Derby formats.

Standard Derby

Build the heaviest collection of fish. Your ten heaviest catches are automatically stored, and your combined total weight determines your final score.

Frenzy Derby

Catch as many fish as you can before time runs out. Every successful catch counts towards your total.

Your Best Fish Are Stored Automatically

No deciding which fish to keep, during a Standard Derby, your ten heaviest catches are tracked automatically. Catch a heavier fish, and it'll replace your lightest qualifying catch without you needing to do anything.

You'll always know when you've improved your score, making every catch feel rewarding.

Complete Transparency

We've added a brand new Derby information panel showing exactly how the competition works.

You'll be able to see:

• 🎯 Hook and catch chances for each rarity.

• ⚖️ Possible weight ranges.

• ⭐ Special Gold Fish bonuses.

No hidden odds. No secret strategies. Just clear information available to every participant.

Official Derbies Take Place in Public Rooms

Official Fishing Derbies are now hosted exclusively in our public fishing rooms under Bob's watchful eye, ensuring every participant competes using the same Derby rules and odds.

Private Room Derbies remain available for players with the ability to host their own competitions. These custom derbies use the Standard Derby format, making them perfect for community events, tournaments, and player-run competitions.
