Country Living: Best Country Garden - Winners

The results are in for our Country Living: Best Country Garden competition, and we were treated to a lovely mix of countryside scenes, productive plots, and peaceful outdoor spaces. From elegant estates and working farmyards to wild overgrowth and cosy communal gardens, the selected rooms captured many different sides of country life.

The highest-placing entries stood out through their imaginative use of Country furni, convincing outdoor garden atmosphere, clear countryside storytelling, and fresh takes on the theme.

Winners

Our top five are apt in 1st place, followed by Dreads, ChrisYepYep, sprig, and Neverends. These rooms impressed with strong planting detail, memorable layouts, and a real sense of lived-in country garden life.

#1 - apt

Feedback: This is the strongest overall balance of garden atmosphere, country living, and visual storytelling. The terraced farmhouse, rooftop produce beds, dense flower borders, and working vegetable patch make the space feel lush and lived in without losing readability. It leans a little more toward an elegant country estate than a purely rustic garden, but the planting and harvest details keep it firmly on prompt.

#2 - Dreads

Feedback: This room tells a complete country-garden story with distinct zones for growing, harvesting, storage, and indoor farm life. The pumpkins, crop rows, wheat patch, stone borders, and barn interior all work together naturally, and the layout guides the eye very well from left to right. A few sections feel slightly busy with repeated effects, but the overall execution is strong and thematic.

#3 - ChrisYepYep

Feedback: The combination of formal building, wheat field, bridges, and water channels creates a polished and believable country property. The room has excellent structure and depth, and the crop field helps anchor it clearly to the competition brief. The architecture is slightly grander than the garden itself, but the outdoor sections are strong enough to keep it on theme.

#4 - sprig

Feedback: This entry is very creative, blending a country garden with a stylised walled courtyard full of flowers, arches, and small cultivation details. The red lantern palette is unusual for the prompt, but it is executed confidently and still includes enough crops and greenery to read as a cultivated outdoor garden. It feels more decorative than rural in places, yet the originality helps it stand out.

#5 - Neverends

Feedback: This room delivers a lively country garden atmosphere by combining productive growing space with a welcoming social area. The pumpkin patches, planters, stacked logs, well, and flowering borders make the garden feel active and cared for, while the stone cottage and picnic setup add clear countryside storytelling. The build is especially strong in how it balances farm detail with leisure, creating the sense of a real outdoor gathering place rather than just a decorative yard. The composition is busy in a good way, with multiple little scenes that keep the room feeling warm, seasonal, and full of life.

Runners Up

Just behind them, G30, Albi-, Hemlock, Xtal, and Expired rounded out the top 10, with Ravishing through :Amy completing the full ranked selection. The wider ranking featured everything from tidy traditional plots to more unusual and atmospheric interpretations of the brief.
